Racing model car decals to build
Curtis Turner’s 1956 Ford Fords. Curtis Turner was sometimes referred to as the
Babe Ruth of stock-car racing. Turner was born in Floyd County Virginia in 1924
and died in a plane crash in 1970. His antics on and off the racetrack are
legendary, NASCAR’s first wild man. Turner made millions in the timber business
and stock-car racing was more of a hobby. Turner won 360 races in several
different series from outlawed tracks, NASCAR and USCA. In 1956 he won 22
NASCAR convertible races and the Southern 500. This Gofer Racing model kit
decal sheet will build Curtis Turner’s winning Southern 500 car the “Wild Hog” and his Daytona 1956 convertible.
